Airam Rodríguez

Bio

Airam has researched the ecological impacts of artificial light at night on biodiversity, particularly those causing high mortality events. Since 2009 he has specialized in how seabirds respond to lightscapes of our coastal areas. He is Principal Investigator of the Spanish Ministry of Science-funded Light pollution and seabirds: effects of intensity and spectrum of artificial light on a fatal attraction (LightingBirds, 2022-2025) and is a co-investigator on the Horizon Europe-funded Aquatic Pollution from Light and Noise (AquaPLAN) project (2024-2027).
